Staged Reading of The Normal Heart by Larry Kramer

SNS will hold an open call for all local Union and Non Union actors on Sunday, January 22 at 6 pm  at The Garden Theater.  Rehearsals start Feb 28 Reading Runs March 9-12 at the Garden Theater, 1187 N High Street.. Directed by Elliot Lemberg. Open Call for the roles listed below, all roles available.

Mickey: Jewish, 35-50. Put upon; victim with a sense of humor.

Tommy:30-40. Funny, outrageous. Southern boy who is all the way out of the closet.

Hiram/ Examining Doctor: 35-50. Closeted, uptight bureaucrat in the mayor’s office.

Craig / Grady/ Orderly: 30-40. Two smaller roles.

Ned Weeks: 30-45. Intense, activist, both difficult and charming.

Ben Weeks: 40-60. A lawyer, conservative, successful, uncomfortable with gays, but loves his brother.

Felix: 35-45. Closeted, attractive, NY Times reporter.

Bruce: 30-40. Very handsome, charismatic, All-American banker, still in the closet.

Emma: 40-60. Fiercely independent doctor and researcher. Opinionated. A fighter.

No Appointment necessary. Please prepare a 1 minute dramatic monologue OR a reading will be provided. Stipend provided for 2 week commitment.
