Why become a Short North Stage Intern?
As an intern at Short North Stage you will see the many facets of a small professional theater! Residing in one of the most distinctive performing arts complexes in the country, Short North Stage hosts and produces performances weekly, ranging from Broadway classics and edgy off-Broadway musicals, to progressive one act plays, cabarets, dance, and everything in between. With three performance venues, including the historic Garden Theater, the intimate Green Room, and Ethel’s Lounge, each show brings a truly unique experience.

Do we provide housing?
Unfortunately, we are unable to provide housing at this time.
Is there a stipend?
We are not able to provide a stipend at this time, rather an opportunity for hands-on experience, mentorship and building on a resume.
Who are we looking for?
- Students and young adults who are actively pursuing a career in professional arts organizations
- Must be 16 or older
- A car is helpful but not required
Dates of the internship?
We will be accepting interns on a rolling basis. If you are applying for credit, your timeline will be based on college semesters. Hours will be negotiated based on individual interests and needs.
Can you combine internships?
Absolutely! If you are interested in learning and growing in several of these areas, just let us know and we can customize any internship.
